Drop-In Classes
On top of doing one on one behavior consultations, No Monkey Business Dog Training, Helen St. Pierre, CPDT-KSA, CDBC, OSCT teaches a variety of classes locally. Puppy training and other dog training classes are taught using positive and effective methods and as well as basic obedience, your dog will learn other important everyday skills.
Dog training classes are taught at No Monkey Business Dog Training. We teach classes on weekday evenings and weekends so you can find a class that fits your schedule. We recommend if you are considering signing up for a class that you thoroughly review your personal schedule to ensure you will not miss classes. It is fine to miss one, and we will help you make up what you missed the next class, but most dogs do best when they can come every week. It is fine for someone else to bring the dog in your place if you are away, including your pet sitter or dog walker!
Classes run on most holidays except for July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas, unless otherwise noted, or discussed in the first class depending on group attendance. We do our best to work around everyone’s schedule but also know the benefits dogs experience by coming to classes each week instead of missing weeks in-between. If you have a conflict due to a holiday and we are still running the class, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you and have you drop in to one of the other classes!
- Basic classes are 4 to 6 weeks long and cost $175 – $250 unless otherwise noted.
- Advanced classes range in length and cost and are listed in their descriptions.
- To attend classes all dogs must be up to date on vaccines (for their age – rabies is not required for puppies to attend class if they are under the age requirement) Proof of vaccines is brought to the first class or can be emailed directly to Helen prior to attending.
CGC Test Drop – In
First Sunday of every month – FREE to NMBDT CLIENTS – NEXT TEST MARCH 3RD 2024
The CGC test, or Canine Good Citizen test, is a test that many landlords, therapy dog organizations and even dog training facilities use as a standard to judge whether a dog has skills needed to move on to the next level in their “career”. It is comprised of 10 behaviors that at NMBDT we work towards every day in our classes even without the goal of the test in mind. For over 10 years, Helen, a certified CGC evaluator for the AKC, at NMBDT has administered the test to hopeful clients when they asked and watched them go on to do more and more amazing things with their dogs! This is a way to continue doing so in a more structured way!
The first Sunday of every month at NMBDT at 9am, Helen, Olivia or Katie will do complimentary CGC tests. For humans and their pups who have taken a level 2 or level 3 class or worked one on one with us at NMBDT the test is FREE OF CHARGE. There is no registration required, but we do ask that you email us at [email protected] to let us know you’re coming, then just show up have fun and take the test! Even if you just want to see what it is you need to work on, we’re happy to help!
For those who have not taken classes at NMBDT but would like to take the test, the cost is $30 per test, pass or fail. No registration is required but you must bring proof of vaccinations and email us to let us know you plan on attending!
